Colleen Veltz is a San Diego based artist who has lived and practiced art in Southern California for nearly 20 years. She was mentored for a decade by collected and acclaimed artist Jerome Gastaldi, best known for his “Yard House restaurants” and “Bridges to Freedom project”.
Colleen is an abstract artist who combines natural materials and objects in her paintings. She is interested in both color and texture to create dimensional surfaces on canvas. Her paintings exude seasonal rhythms and lyrical patterns in nature, where she finds her inspiration. She has exhibited in West Hollywood, Laguna Beach, San Diego, Palm Desert, Savannah, South Bend, with future projects in Canada and Chicago.
In addition to painting, Colleen is also the owner and director of Veltz Fine Art Gallery, located in the Liberty Station Arts District.
