Niara was born and raised in Brussels, Belgium. She studied classical ballet at the Conservatory of Brussels and spent 2 summers as a full scholarship student at the Chicago City Ballet. Her classical training instilled in her an appreciation for foundation, hard work and discipline.
At 18, Niara relocated to the U.S to attend Boston University. After earning her B.A in Psychology, she spent time living and working in Paris and Hawaii before settling in NYC. It was there that she resumed her dance training at Broadway Dance Center and Manhattan Motion. She was soon drawn to Boulder, Colorado and it was at Motion Underground Dance Studio that she expanded on her hip hop and contemporary training. Her drive as a student soon led her to teach numerous classes, encompassing various styles for all ages and levels, and eventually to direct performance hip hop troupes. |
