A work of art is a world in itself reflecting senses and emotions of the artist’s world. – Hans Hoffman
Sensorium was a large-scale project developed and curated for Vanguard Culture at IDEA1. At the time, this was new live/work development located in downtown San Diego’s rapidly growing East Village district. The event included visual, performing, and culinary artists, occupying multiple levels of the property, including the ground floor hub, and the rooftop deck. Fifteen empty lofts were transfigured into experiential exhibition spaces with over eighty visual artists. The exhibition was aired on National Geographic's four-part miniseries on San Diego, in episode 3: City of Creativity.
The event was described as an evening of vanguard art experiences, delicious food, wine tastings, and creative networking. Vanguard Culture will transform 15 condo lofts of the art-filled community of IDEA1 Downtown with immersive, experiential, multi-sensory art experiences themed around The 5 Senses. Featured Arts Orgs Include: Art Produce Gallery, Athenaeum Music & Arts Library, California, Ballet Company, CityFX Program, Fashion Week San Diego, Fleet Science Center, Jean Isaacs, San Diego Dance Theatre, LCFA Studio, Mimi Models Academy, San Diego Art Institute, San Diego Opera, The PGK Dance Project, UCSD Dept. of Music

The People's Opera House Project "Mutate or Die" by Tony Allard
The People’s Opera House project is a social experiment in crowd-sourced creativity that cinematically and operatically engages the audience in the compelling conversations of our time. At this anthropocentric moment in history we would be wise to engage in the conversations that Darwinism is being replaced by “directed evolution” through genetic engineering and that our future as transgenic or trans-human beings is rapidly approaching.
